About this Product
Original Oil Painting on canvas panel. The subject is a Valencia Orange with stem and green leaves emerging from deep shadow. Chiaroscuro lighting. This was the first painting I have painted in around 18 years. 10” x 8". Stand or Frame not included. The back of the painting is equipped with a plastic and metal picture hanger. This way if you prefer not to frame the panel or display it on a table top stand, you can still immediately hang it.

How it’s Made
I painted this in my home studio using water-miscible oil paint (which is regular oil paint, with a small amount of additive that makes it break up with water instead of harsh solvents). The substrate is cotton stretched canvas.
This is one of my earliest paintings. I used a reference photo with full permission from the photographer. (My later paintings are from life, from my own photography, or from a compilation of reference photos, life, and imagination.)
