The sugar in it exfoliates and encourages the growth of new skin cells, removes dead skin cells, and actually helps the skin look younger, while the honey helps hydrate the skin and seals the moisture into the skin instead of letting it escape from the pores. The olive oil is high in vitamin E, which is a key nutrient for the skin. It will help your skin look and feel more supple and moisturize and nourish dry skin.
Sugar scrubs are better for more delicate skin versus salt scrubs so this is a good gift to make for someone that has sensitive skin. Salt scrubs can be too harsh, and may burn as you slouff off the dead skin cells.

Use a small amount of the scrub and massage it into your skin in the shower or tub as an exfoliant.
This is such a mild scrub it could also be given as a lip scrub or a sugar face scrub.
