Hi, I’m Paula Bowers! I’ve been creating pottery for over 12 years, drawing inspiration from the rich history of South Carolina ceramics, the natural beauty of our family farm, and the music that moves me.
My work is all about joy—whimsical, functional pieces designed to be used and loved every day, yet crafted with the care and quality to last a lifetime.
How it’s Made
Each tumbler is hand-built from clay slabs, pressed with texture stamps, and layered with nature-inspired patterns. The medallion is hand-cut and carved, then carefully attached and detailed for depth and character. After drying, the piece is bisque-fired, glazed with lead-free glazes in multiple layers of blues and browns, and fired again to 2300°F for a strong, food-safe finish. Every tumbler is one-of-a-kind, made to be enjoyed daily and cherished for years to come.
