This handmade keychain features a striking vintage Czech glass bead with swirls and stripes of orange, black, and white. Though made of glass, the bead closely resembles natural agate, offering a beautiful and earthy look in a lightweight form.
Crafted in my smoke-free Arizona workshop, this keychain highlights a thin diamond-shaped bead with slightly raised textures for added interest. I handpicked this bead for its warm tones and organic feel, making it a unique piece that stands out without being flashy.
The bead measures approximately 1 1/2 inches long, 1 3/8 inches wide, and 1/4 inch thick. It’s securely attached to a 2 1/4-inch handmade silver plated figure 8 chain and a 1 1/4-inch sturdy silver plated split ring with a 1 inch swivel hook. The full length is 5 inches, and it weighs just 21 grams—lightweight, functional, and made to last.

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Diane and I am the owner and artist of Artisan Rockhound. I started out as a Rockhound (a person who searches for and collects rocks and minerals as a hobby) and became an Artisan (a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or entirely by hand). I still love rockhounding and do it any chance I get plus I enjoy talking about rocks to whoever wants to listen.
Everything I sell is made in my Arizona, USA workshop with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The leather pouches I make with high quality Elk and Deer hide that I hand pick from various vendors. I use only glass beads, natural gemstones, metal, and authentic antler/bones as embellishments. All my products are proudly made in the USA. Each one is a unique one of a kind work of art. My products are already made when they enter the shop so they are ready to ship as soon as you buy them.

How it’s Made
This keychain begins with a vintage Czech glass bead—carefully chosen for its warm, earthy tones and natural agate-like appearance. Though glass, the bead mimics the layered beauty of real stone with swirls of orange, black, and white, giving it an organic look without the weight. I hand-wrap the bead and connect it to a silver-plated figure-8 chain that I form and hammer by hand, adding texture and strength to the piece. It’s finished with a secure split ring and a swivel hook for added versatility. As with all my work, each component is assembled by hand in my Arizona workshop, creating a keychain that’s as durable as it is distinctive—crafted with care from vintage materials and made to be used every day.
