Hello and welcome to Eidel's Ideas. My name is Gabrielle and my creative journey officially began at age 2, with a bottle of chocolate syrup and a freshly cleaned kitchen-canvas.
My love of vintage also began in childhood, visiting older friends and family members whose homes were filled with ornate, high-quality furnishings and black-and-white photographs that seemed to whisper stories from another time. When I was in first grade, I lost two of my great-grandmothers. Both left behind beautiful collections of antique jewelry—pearls, brooches, cameos, and treasures that most people didn’t wear or even value anymore. But I did. Even then, I could feel how special they were.
So much in the world today has traded quality and detail for speed and convenience. But to me, it’s that lost craftsmanship—the care, the character, the soul—that makes something truly precious.
I was raised as an only child, adopted by a woman who deeply longed to be a mother. Growing up in a quiet home, I developed not only a strong relationship with the Lord, but also a vivid creative spirit. Around age eight, I began experimenting with jewelry—salvaging pieces, fixing broken ones, and eventually creating my own. I taught myself to sew the same way, taking things apart just to learn how they were made.
Now, every piece I create is inspired by that sense of wonder I felt as a child—sifting through heirlooms, imagining the lives behind them, and bringing new life to the beauty that others might overlook.
How it’s Made
There’s something special about opening a fresh order of beads and letting creativity take over. When I received these Czech glass flowers and antique copper elements, I spent time experimenting—arranging countless variations until this design came together.
Once I saw the combination of soft green, golden accents, and warm copper, I knew I had to make more. Each earring is carefully assembled by hand, layering the floral beads with ornate bead caps and faceted glass for a vintage-inspired, nature-loving look.
The result is a pair of artisan earrings that feel like they’ve been plucked from an old-world jewelry box—delicate, earthy, and timeless. Every piece is crafted in my home, where my creativity flourishes alongside the daily rhythm of family life.
