About this Product
The Polish Star is a handmade, holiday tradition passed down for over a hundred years. Some other names are jezyk (little hedgehog) or porcupine ball. It really is a fitting name!
While these stars were originally made at Christmastime, we can use them year round! These are made from old sheet music and are super cute for any music lover or music themed party.
I learned this cool art through my maternal grandma. Each Polish Star consists of several steps. Cutting 12 circles, folding and cutting into 8 parts, and the rolling each part into points. The circles are then stacked and threaded, then squished together until it makes a ball, resulting in 96 points!
This comes on a long string and can be hung, or clip the string off (or tuck it underneath so you have options later) and it can sit on any flat surface, adding a unique texture.
Choose from a 3.5 inch or a 4.5 inch star.
Polish Stars are pretty fragile, so handle it with care.
Your Polish Star with come shipped in a cube box and packaged with care to avoid crushing during shipping.
Handmade in Libby, MT in a smoke free home.

How it’s Made
Polish stars are made from 12 circles of paper, folded, cut, rolled into points and glued. They are then strung onto thread with a button on both ends for security.
