Meet the Maker

I'm a lifelong maker.  I began with needlepoint, cross stitch and quilting. Creating teddy bears and dolls were next but turning and stuffing took a toll on my wrists.  After many years absence I returned to knitting. I needed to organize and store supplies and started making interchangeable knitting needle cases. From there my business grew by word of mouth and evolved to include crochet hook cases, straight and circular needle organizers, project bags, notions pouches and tapestry knitting bags.
For 9 years I was a vendor at numerous fiber festivals in NJ, NY and PA.  They were fun and I learned what products fiber artists wanted. Sadly, Covid put an end to nearly all of them so I've transitioned to selling online.

How it’s Made

The vintage style bags are created from my extensive collection of tapestry fabrics collected over 30 years. They are high quality that is not often found these days and most out of production.

When I first began making the vintage style bags, I used commercially available wooden handles but they didn't do justice to the fabrics. After a two year search I found an Amish furniture craftsman that would make beautiful handles that perfectly complemented the fabrics and bag style. Fourteen years and hundreds of bags later, he's still making them exclusiverly for me.

All bags are heirloom quality, handcrafted by me from start to finish with meticulous attention to details--double stitched seams, reinforced pockets, no unfinished or raw edges and enclosed hand-gathered handle casing.

I never make duplicate bags, ensuring this bag uniquely yours. All items are sewn on Abigail, my Singer 201 machine.
