Handmade religious Greek Orthodox Virgin Mary Theotokos with Jesus Christ Christmas tree wooden icon Christmas ornament. This ornate one of a kind wooden icon can also be used on an altar table.
I have painted the large 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch wood slice gold and decoupaged an Orthodox icon image of Child Jesus Christ with Theotokos the Virgin Mary on one side. I embellished the permimeter of the wood slice with handmade scrolled 3D embellishments made of clay that I painted gold. The back of the ornament is painted gold. The measurement does not include the gold ribbon.
Because this is handmade it will be rustic and might have flaws. I have photographed the ornament to show all three views. The outside perimeter is natural wood bark and might flake in time. Nonetheless it is rustic in appearance and this would not take away from it.
It will be wrapped securely for shipping. This is a unique statement piece already to give for a hostess, housewarming or Christmas gift.

Here you will find religious necklaces, candles, decoupaged shells, kitchen towels and pillow covers. Most of my items are made to order and I have a few that are ready to ship. I have been selling online for twelve years, have been in Texas storefronts and have done craft shows. My favorite pastimes and loves are my two German Shepherds who are like toddlers to me Also orchids, cooking and coming up with new ideas to create whether for my home or to sell. How it’s Made
I have made clay embellishment, painted the wood slice and decoupage the icon image onto a natural wood slice.
Shop Policies
Once your order is paid for I will begin making your purchase. Most of the time it takes an average of two- three days for me to make. If you order more than one item, an extra day or two will be added onto the scheduling. I will notify you once they are shipped out.
I offer free shipping on most of my items. I also do combined shipping and will adjust the rates to your best advantage and give a refund upon shipping the items.
If you would like more than one of the item you bought, please let me know. I will be happy to make as many as you would like. The time frame on this will be adjusted to a little longer.
The decoupaged shells have already been made and you will get the exact one in the photo. If you wish to have more than one, there might be slight variations in the finished product due to the printer and the process of decoupaging.
