About this Product
This walnut bowl measures 9 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep—perfect as a small fruit bowl, serving dish, accent piece, or for many other household uses.
Black Walnut (also known as American Walnut) is a prized choice for bowls, combining durability, beautiful grain patterns, and natural food-safe properties. This hardwood resists moisture and withstands regular use, making it ideal for bowls that may contact liquids. The wood's rich, dark color and distinctive grain patterns create stunning kitchenware.

Meet the Maker
From my small shop in the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri—where deer often graze outside the door—I create hand-turned bowls, platters, vases, honey dippers, ornaments, and other decorative and functional items.
I occasionally offer handcrafted furniture pieces made with traditional tools and joinery. Hand planes are used for dimensioning and finishing the wood. Chisels, mallets, and hand saws to craft mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joinery. Since these pieces take 1–3 months to build, they rarely become available. My lathe and bandsaw are the only stationary power tools in my shop—everything else is done with traditional hand tools.
Whether you choose one of my turned items or handcrafted furniture pieces, you can be confident it was created with the utmost care. I strive to create pieces that you'll not only treasure but that will become family heirlooms.
How it’s Made
This piece was hand-turned on a wood lathe, sanded, and finished with a multiple-step process of natural oils and waxes, giving it a silky-smooth surface and warm, soft luster.
