About this Product

The Moon has been associated with Magic and mysticism since the very beginning of time, across various cultures and traditions. While the Sun, whose importance is unquestionable, is related to logos (the rational) and left-brain functions, the Moon is connected to intuition, change, fluidity, reflection - all that is feminine - and it is related to the element of water.

As we get closer to the Dark Moon phase, energies are more suitable for getting rid of anything that has been absorbing joy from your life and draining your energy. If there’s anything you wish to just cut out from your life, work with the energies of this period to do so. Whether it is dropping a dead-end project or ending a relationship or friendship that is harmful - focus on the deliberate dropping of anything that you no longer desire.

Whether you are looking to add some sparkly bling to your Halloween tree or want a celestial touch in your Christmas tree this 2 inch round sequins ornament is perfect for you! The foam ball is wrapped in hand placed glossy black sequins and glossy slightly iridescent yellow sequins shaped into a waxing crescent moon, all placed with gold glass seed beads with gold [brass plated] sequin pins by hand. The top of your ornament has a round clasp for the hanger of your choice.

This multi-purpose ornament is Ready-to-Ship + Ready-to-Hang. It would also make a fabulous sparkly ornament exchange or holiday party hostess gift.

Meet the Maker

Hi. I'm Bill Mason. I started Holidays Lane in 2018 with the idea that every day is a holiday. Christmas is always a special time for me. The magic of decorating the tree, turning off all other lights and experiencing the ambiance is the high point of the holiday. My absolute favorite ornaments are the "ones my grandma made" with sparkly sequins, ribbon, pins & beads. They weren't always perfect... but that’s what made them special.

Trees for other holidays like Valentine's Day, Independence Day, Halloween, LGBTQ Pride, and Easter have gained in popularity with folks now leaving their trees up all year long just swapping out the ornaments. So I also started a design inspiration blog at https://holidayslane.blog/ and have a Facebook group All Holidays Tree Decorating so everyone can share their holiday trees with community members.

Each of my ornaments and decorative eggs are meticulously hand crafted - one tiny bead at a time - by me. There isn't a factory involved. Is it time-consuming, yes. But I really enjoy the tactile process of creating each ornament. So whether I'm using carefully curated ribbons & adorable toppers, or individually placed Czech glass beads with color coordinated sequins on a satin-wrapped foam shape, each is truly unique. My decorative eggs are versatile, either displayed in groupings in a bowl as though a very glam Easter bunny left them for you, or as an ornament for an Easter Tree. These sparkling beauties could also double as a Christmas ornament sparkling from the lights of your tree.

When I am at local craft fairs, I always overhear peoples memories triggered by my ornaments. Many say they remember making these types of ornaments with their mom, grandmother or aunt. Frequently it's a family affair with siblings all competing for the prettiest ornament. So that inspired me to create my DIY sequin kits. Each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions & hand drawn pictures taking you step by step through the process of creating your own special ornament or Easter egg. And whether you decide to keep it for yourself and showcase your handiwork on your family tree or decide to present it as a gift to a special person in your life who knows that you thoughtfully selected an ornaments and hand-make it just for them - it's a fabulous gift!

I hope that these ornaments and decorative items find a special place in your home and you will be able to hand them down to your family too.

Thank you for visiting me on the lane... Where Every Day is a Holiday
