About this Product
This handmade ceramic spoon rest was created from a slab of clay, textured with autumn leaves and colored to represent the warm brown tones of fall. The crystals in the glazed surface formed by a special scheduled firing and represent the snowflakes of a late fall where winter is coming. This functional art piece is 4 inches wide and made of a beautiful sturdy red clay.

Meet the Maker
From a small farming community in California, Jazmin came to the big city of Long Beach, CA to further her education in art and experience of life. She attended Cal State Long Beach where she received a BFA in Ceramics and is now living the dream of teaching and sharing pottery with students of every age as well as concentrating on her own practice and growth. Everything hand made by Jaz is created with love and she hopes that when you drink, eat or enjoy the sight of her works of art that you also feel the love within the piece and share that love in your home and with the world around you.
How it’s Made
This functional art piece was hand made out of a red clay slab, textured with a leaf roller and shaped as a spoon rest. It was fired once overnight to harden then fired again overnight after being glazed (painted).
