Meet the Maker

I am a retired middle school math teacher, and after 30 years in the classroom, I have moved to my creative side working with beads of all kinds. I was always drawn to the beadwork done by indigenous peoples and others who are so very skilled in this art. I was looking to start something for myself that 1 - Did not involve teaching in a classroom; and 2 - Whatever would become a relaxing, creative outlet for my Pisces soul. My years as a musician allowed me that outlet, but at this point in my life, I needed something different; something I could see and feel, and watch form. I loved playing with snap beads as a child. I spent hours trying to make "jewelry" with different color combinations and never tired of the trial and error. It's much like that for me today. i can get lost in trying new designs and creations of my own. I can also find the work of others to inspire and motivate me, to learn something new from, and delight when someone finds what I create desirable.

Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my work. I appreciate you

How it’s Made

I use high-quality beads sourced from Tejas Beads, right here in Massachusetts. Each bracelet is strung on premium stretch cord for strength, durability, and long-lasting wear. I use a specialized knotting technique secured with a drop of jeweler’s glue that won’t dry out or make the elastic brittle over time.

In fact, the bracelets I wear daily are over three years old—and I’ve never had to replace the cord.

If your bracelet's elastic breaks within the first year, I’ll happily restring it for free. Just send the beads back to me (you only pay postage), and I’ll have it restrung and on its way back to you the very next day after I receive it.
