About this Product

Handmade in small batches in my Minnesota kitchen, this Wild Woods soap contains Olive Oil, Locally Sourced Minnesota Goat's Milk, Unrefined Organic Coconut Oil, RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Fragrance Oil (Paraben & Phthalate Free), Sunflower Oil, Mica.

The fragrance in this soap is a complex masculine mix of wild cypress, ozone, makrut lime, sea salt, oud, elemi, leather, amber, ocean moss, and frankincense. The fragrance itself comes with a name of "Birchwood and Oud" but I knew as soon as I smelled it that it should be called wild woods. I actually considered calling it Bigfoot Breath, because I think it's fun and makes me laugh - but I wasn't sure anyone would think it was as cool of a name as I did. So, I settled on Wild Woods! This is one that people grab and smell at a craft fair and don't put back down.

Soap bars are approximately 1" thick and 4.5 ounces each.

(Price listed is for one bar of Wild Woods soap.)

Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Darcy, the proud owner of Preserving My Sanity - a natural living blog and an online soap shop.

I love helping curious kitchengoers learn more about cooking with whole foods, food preservation, sourdough baking, gardening, sourcing local products, and making overall healthier choices in your kitchen and throughout your home.

My shop features a selection of artisan small-batch handcrafted goat milk soap and other products that are made in my kitchen. I carefully source ingredients for all of my products, many of which contain fresh Minnesota goat milk (soaps) or local Minnesota beeswax (salves and lotion bars).

I believe knowledge empowers us to more consciously choose what we put in and on our bodies. My mission is to help others make meaningful changes to create healthier, more sustainable lives. Whether that's buying my soap, learning how to make your own soap, or taking steps to grow food and cook with whole ingredients - I'm here for you!

How it’s Made

Each bar of my soap contains approximately 1 ounce of locally sourced Minnesota goat milk. Most of my soaps also contain pure olive oil, unrefined organic coconut oil, RSPO certified sustainable palm oil, sodium hydroxide, and castor oil. Some batches contain grass-fed non-GMO beef tallow instead of palm oil.

I make a variety of unscented, scented, and essential oil soaps, all of which are made by me in small batches. I carefully source all ingredients used from reputable suppliers, and only use fragrance oils that are free from parabels and phthalates.
