Learn how to make this Winnie-the-Pooh blanket for your very own! My design was inspired by the scene with Pooh and the bees in the classic book, WINNIE-THE-POOH by A.A. Milne. The image of Pooh floating under the balloon was always one of my favorites, so I had to bring it to life in crochet, and now you can, too! This blanket would be a stunning gift for the baby or toddler of book lover parents and could be passed down for years as an heirloom. Great for snuggling or you could even hang it on the wall as kids room or nursery decor.
-This pattern is best for INTERMEDIATE level crocheters who know how to do color work.

EruvandiCrafts

Meet the Maker
Hi! My name is Elizabeth Buckles, owner, designer, and maker of EruvandiCrafts. I am a 30-something living in Virginia who taught myself my crafts as early as age 14, so I have over 18 years of experience under my belt. Today, handcrafting and designing have become my passions. As of 2020 I decided to combine my crafts with my other passion of books and storytelling, and now I make items that will allow my fellow book lovers to celebrate their favorite stories in a unique and fun way. I hope my creations will bring joy to those who own them for years to come.

How it’s Made
This is a listing for a DIGITAL DOWNLOADABLE PATTERN. I created the design for this blanket by using Canva to help cut the background off of a classic illustration of Pooh Bear and place Pooh on a background that I created by combining multiple different digital clip art graphics, like sky, grass, and trees. Then, I used a graph-making program to turn that image into a color chart, which is included with this purchase along with the written pattern. (NOTE: the bees and beehive are crocheted separately and sewn onto the blanket, so they are not shown on the color chart. The instructions for them are in the written pattern.) From the color chart, I created the written instructions so that the customer can reference both at the same time while crocheting the blanket. This is the exact same pattern that I follow when crafting the finished blanket for my shop.

All items in my shop are made and ready to ship, and I ship within 3-5 business days through the US Postal Service. The actual delivery date will depend on your chosen shipping method and location. Once a package leaves my hands I no longer have control over it. I am not responsible for carrier delays.
Cancellations are accepted BEFORE an item has shipped.
Care Instructions:
All knit or crochet items will include a card in the packaging that states the unique care instructions for that particular item. Items made with acrylic yarn are typically machine washable and dryable, though I suggest washing on cool or warm settings rather than hot just to be a little gentle. You may also choose to lay your item out to dry instead of machine drying if you want to be extra gentle with it. Items made with wool yarn typically need to be hand washed and laid flat to dry to avoid felting.
With all of my jewelry pieces, you should follow standard practices for jewelry storage in order to keep the metal components from tarnishing, which means storing your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Please also avoid wearing your jewelry in the bathtub/shower or pool. If your jewelry does become tarnished over time, I recommend using a jewelry polishing cloth to buff the tarnish away. I have personally used and experienced good results from the "Connoisseurs" brand jewelry cleaning cloths. This is not a paid promotion, I truly like and use them myself. :)
FAQs:
Do you sell patterns?
Not at this time. All of my listings, whether knit, crochet, or jewelry, are finished pieces ready to be enjoyed by the customer.
Do you offer gift wrap?
I want ALL of my customers to feel like they are opening a gift when they buy from me, so I package EVERY ORDER attractively at no extra cost to you. I package yarn items with pretty ribbon and tissue paper, and jewelry gets a pretty box tied with a ribbon.
Sizing details?
Please read the written description of each listing to see an item's specific measurements. Because all my items are ready to ship, I cannot change the sizing of any items. I choose to make accessories/blankets/etc. that typically don't require sizing and will fit many people.
Are all your items book-themed?
When I first started out on Etsy in 2016, my shop had no theme. I simply crafted things I thought were beautiful and that I hoped others would enjoy. It wasn't until 2020 that I shifted to crafting book-themed collections in order to combine my love of reading with my love of crafting, and to provide fellow readers with fun items that help them express their love of their favorite stories. Due to the sheer volume of items I crafted before making this transition, I still have
one-of-a-kind items in my shop that are not themed but will remain here until they find a home with someone who loves them. If an item's title or description does not state that it has a book theme, then it is unthemed.
How do you choose the book themes for your collections?
For legal reasons, all books or fairytales that inspire a collection in this shop are in the public domain. In the future, I'd love to get licensing to use other books as inspiration, but I'm still learning how to do that. :) In the meantime, I look at classic, public domain books and follow the inspiration that pops into my head! If you have a suggestion for a book or even a book genre that you'd like to see me tackle for a future collection, feel free to message me and I will take it into consideration!
