This Wonderstone Tree of Life Pendant displays warm hues of purples, reds, and browns wrapped up in antiqued and polished pure copper wire. It's a Tree of Life pendant that is totally unique.
The Wonderstone pendant has colors that bring to mind the sand and stones of Nevada which is where it hails from originally. The warm earthy color of the antiqued and polished copper wire adds to the rustic look of the piece.

Meet the Maker
Hello, my name is Diane and I am the owner and artist behind Artisan Rockhound. I started out as a Rockhound (a person who searches for and collects rocks and minerals as a hobby) and became an Artisan (a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or entirely by hand). That's where my business name came from. I still love rockhounding and do it any chance I get plus I enjoy talking about rocks to whoever wants to listen.
Everything I sell is made in my Arizona, USA workshop with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The leather pouches I make with high quality Elk and Deer hide that I hand pick from various vendors. I use only glass beads, natural gemstones, metal, and authentic antler/bones as embellishments. All my products are proudly made in the USA. Each one is a unique one of a kind work of art. My products are already made when they enter the shop so they are ready to ship as soon as you buy them.

How it’s Made
I started with an oval cabochon of Nevada Wonderstone (Rhyolite). Using copper wires and hand tools I formed a frame on the back of the cabochon using 14 gauge copper wire. I added a bail to the frame which I wrapped in a figure 8 weaving pattern with 24 gauge copper wire to give it stability and interest. I then used 24 gauge copper wires to form the tree. The cabochon was inserted into the frame and the tree wires were wrapped around the front of the cabochon then connected to the frame on the back. After I wrapped the pendant I used liver of sulfur to give the copper wire an aged look. Finally I cleaned the piece and polished the high points in the wire for added dimension.
