About this Product

"Discover the 'Crucifixion of Jesus' Laser-Crafted Wall Art from Splintered Wheel's exclusive 'Life of Christ Collection.'

This particular wall art centers on the miraculous moment when Jesus walked on water, reaching out to save Peter from sinking—a profound event recounted in three of the Gospels (Matthew 14:22–36; Mark 6:45–56; John 6:16–21). It symbolizes the disciples' recognition of Jesus as the Son of God (Matthew 14:32–33), with the artwork portraying Jesus extending His hand to rescue Peter. Peter, whose faith allowed him to step out of the boat and walk on water, momentarily faltered as he was distracted by the storm. It was then that Jesus reached down, firmly grasping Peter's outstretched hand.

The hands of Jesus and Peter are laser crafted from hickory wood with a rich Walnut stain and elevated above the sign to emphasize the moment of salvation.

This versatile piece can be hung on your wall using the included twine loop, or you may opt for direct wall mounting with the built-in hangers, with a handy screw template included for precise placement. Alternatively, display it elegantly on a shelf or table with the included stand.

Scripture reference:
Matthew 14:28-31 (NIV):
"Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Meet the Maker

Hello! My name is Johnny and I'm glad you have stumbled upon the Splintered Wheel!
Since retirement, I have discovered that I enjoy creating, perfecting, and crafting one of a kind, original items and designs from other creative people as well, using my OMTech AF2028-80 80-Watt Laser cutter! What started as just a way to keep myself busy led to the creation of Splintered Wheel. I work with all different types of wood and acrylic. I've made a wide variety of things, so keep checking back as new items will be added! I encourage you to reach out should you have any questions or if you have an idea of something you would like me to add.
I take great pride in what I make. I want it to be as perfect as I can possibly make it. I inspect each and every item before I pack it up and ship it to you. If it doesn't pass my strict quality control, then it won't be shipped. If I have to make another one from scratch, I will.

The name "Splintered Wheel" came from two authentic wooden wagon wheels that we have in our yard. I love the rustic look they add to our wood cabin.

When I'm not working in my shop, you can find me spending time with my beautiful wife, Roxie, awesome daughters (and their husbands) and my 4 precious grandkids!
I also love building Lego sets, and gaming on PC and PS5. Being retired is awesome!

**IMPORTANT NOTICES:
The wood used on my products are Wood veneer. Wood veneer is a thin slice of natural wood that is attached, through gluing or pressing, onto a panel of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). Wood veneers give the appearance of an all-wood piece, when in reality only the surface is taken from natural wood. Most wood used in crafts have a MDF core. (MDF is more dense and stronger than particle board and has a more even consistency compared to plywood.)

*Stain reacts to all wood differently; even the same piece of wood can take on different hues and tints, so colors may vary slightly from those shown.

**Even though many of my products have multiple coats of clear Poly-acrylic sealant on the wood and backing material, I cannot guarantee that it is waterproof. If displaying outdoors, please do not place it where it may get wet and please avoid direct sunlight if possible.
Acrylic can expand in direct sunlight and may cause warping.
