About this Product
A dibber is a heirloom garden tool used to make holes in cultivated soil for planting seeds, bulbs, and seedlings.
Did you know?
In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, farmers used a long-handled dibber of metal or wood to plant wheat and other crops. One farmer would walk backwards with a pair of dibbers making holes about four inches apart while another farm worker would drop a seed into each hole and cover the hole.
It would take two days to plant an acre.
The dibber is also known as a 'dibble' or 'dibbler'.
Functional and rich in texture, the Dibber is an attractive, unique addition in the garden, displayed on a wall or for the “what is it” niche. Each of the 6 rings on the tapered end are spaced 1 inch apart to control depth of hole produced by Dibber- helps the gardener dig and plant seeds and bulbs to the proper depth.
A great gift for yourself or a friend that likes to garden.
