About this Product
Maple tree branches and resin fused salt and pepper shakers. The shakers depicted are the exact ones you will receive, as each pair is distinct. Pete’s Backwoods utilizes wood harvested from Wisconsin forests and nearby river shores. The wood is selected for its unique grain or natural breakage. It is then fused with epoxy resin to fill any cracks or voids.
The shakers are finished with an acrylic coating polished to a high gloss. This coating ensures exceptional durability for daily use. The chrome-plated top unscrews for filling into the plastic cup liner. Adding rice to the salt shaker will absorb moisture and prevent the salt from clumping.
These unique shakers will bring a touch of the Northwoods to your kitchen or dining table.
· Wood/Resin items can be dusted or wiped with a damp cloth.
· Never put the shakers in the dishwasher.
· Removable metal hardware can be washed with mild soap and water.

Meet the Maker
Pete's Backwoods
My name is Pete Urasky, and I welcome you to my shop. I am a retired electrical engineer and have cultivated a passion for wood turning and carving in my workshop located in Wisconsin Dells, WI. My wood art is crafted from hard wood, wood burls, pinecones, and repurposed wood. I utilize epoxy resins to highlight the inherent beauty of each piece. Each creation is distinctive, possessing its own unique characteristics.

How it’s Made
Maple branches are positioned in a mold with resin and pressure cured. The molded block is subsequently drilled and turned to produce similar but distinct pairs. The pieces are then coated with acrylic and polished to achieve a high gloss finish.
