How it’s Made
The body and head of this medieval knight are hand-carved from various hardwoods. The arms bend at the elbow and the hands rotate at the wrists. The shield is comprised of several thin laminated sheets of wood that were pressed to form a gentle curve. It attaches magnetically to the knight's left arm. The knight's sword (baltic birch plywood) was created using a laser cutter so as to achieve finer detail.
