This particular tie is made from Maple. Included are strips of clear, spalted, and even a piece with some bark inclusion. This provides you with a very beautiful variety in the same tie. This tie has a light tan appearance. It weighs 6.3 ounces and is 18 3/8 inches long.

Meet the Maker
I started woodworking almost 30 years ago for fun. During Covid I decided I wanted to have a wooden tie. I looked online to try and find one. I was able to find some but they were not exactly what I thought a wooden tie should be. They were thin sheets of wood glued to a fabric backing. I realized I could come up with something better. I spent the next two years working on my design. My ties are solid wood, no fabric backing. I started out making a few for me and my sons. As we wore them around they drew a lot of attention and others wanted to get some. This has given me an opportunity to work with my kids and let them earn some money for college. Thank you for your interest in them. If you decide to get one I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do and appreciate the hard work that went into making it.
How it’s Made
This is a handcrafted wooden tie. It is made from wood that was milled and routered to provide you with a unique look. After shaping the strips of wood to allow for the flex in the tie, they are pieced together and cut into the tie shape. They are then sanded and finished in a way to give it a nice shine and protection but allowing them to still have a natural feel. The wooden tie comes with a velcro strap for wearing and a tray for storage or display.
