This Wooden Trivet has many uses in your kitchen and home. It can be used while serving a meal to protect your tabletop from hot pots or dishes. It can be used as a cutting board, cheeseboard, bar board, or even as a plant stand for your favorite house plant. This would be a great item for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
This Wooden Trivet is handcrafted from aged mahogany wood and a satin food grade finish has been applied to it. It also has silicone feet on the bottom of it so that it won’t mar your furniture or countertop, and two black metal handles have been attached to the sides for easy handling. This cutting board is approximately 7 inches wide; 9 1/2 inches long and 1 inch thick, and it should last for many years to come. This wooden trivet can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth, and it should never be immersed in a sink of dishwater or washed in a dishwasher.
Because grain and color vary in wood, your wooden trivet may have different grain patterns than the ones pictured. Meet the Maker
I have worked with wood most of my life as a hobby, but now that I am semi-retired, I enjoy working with wood in my shop more often, and I want to make things that people can use in their homes. Each piece is lovingly made by hand, and every step is done with my hands guiding each tool I use. Our items are made using hardwoods such as walnut, oak, maple and mahogany and a satin lacquer finish is used on our non-food use items. Our items that are for food use have had a food grade finish applied to them so that they are safe to serve food on or with. They are then hand rubbed to a smooth satin finish. Some of our most popular items are the Wooden Book Stand; our Wooden Trivet for placing hot pots and plates on, and our Wooden Honey Dipper which is hand turned on my lathe. Our items have gone out to many people all across the USA, and I know that you will be pleased with them just as others have stated in their reviews. How it’s Made
This wooden trivet is made from mahogany wood in my shop and is then sanded to a smooth finish. A food grade finish is applied to help it last a long time in your home. Black metal handles are placed on the side to make it easy to handle and silicone feet are attached to the bottom so that it will not slip on your counter top.
