About this Product
This embroidery kit is done on a 7" wooden hoop which is included. I have hand drawn this piece with a heat erasable pen. That means when you are done embroidering you can erase any lines showing with the heat from an iron. I used 10 colors of DMC thread which I've included more than enough to complete your piece. You will have everything you need to do this embroidery piece except for scissors.
My directions are very clear, but not overwhelming. If you've ever done embroidery before you will be able to make this woodpecker embroidery. If you are crafty and able to create things, you should not have any problems. If you are totally new to any type of art or crafting, it might be a little more challenging. I will walk you through exactly how to do this piece and show you drawings and directions on how to embroider the stitches used in this piece.
I really want others to be able to enjoy creating something. My hope is that everyone who buys my kits has a wonderful time making them and is proud of what they created. Each piece will be original and if yours looks different then mine, that’s just fine.

I suggest putting on some music, lighting a candle and having a glass of wine while you get lost in your craft. And whether you buy my kit or someone else's, remember to just have fun and know it'll look beautiful and handmade once you get it all done.

Welcome to Stitches N' Hoops Art where I create and sell handmade embroidery kits. I love everything I do regarding my small business. From coming up with the artwork, to embroidering and figuring out the colors to use, to hand making the kits and shipping them out to friends like you. I really want you and others to be able to create something fun and beautiful.
Since I personally create every kit by hand, it takes me a few days to create a new batch of 12. So please be patient if one of my kits sells out. I am working hard to create more. You can always message me that you would like one once I get more made and I will personally notify you when I put them back in my shop.
Included in each and every kit is a piece of fabric that I hand draw the design onto with a heat erasable pen. That way, once you have finished embroidering your piece, the heat from an iron will make any pen lines that didn’t get covered up by the DMC floss disappear.
Also included in your kit is a wooden hoop, all the DMC floss you should need sorted out from the other colors, 2 embroidery needles, very detailed instructions with pictures including how to do all of the stitches used in your piece.
You will have everything you need to create the kit you purchased except for the scissors. I even write out instructions with a photo of how to finish off your piece on to the hoop so that it’s ready to hang on your wall or give it as a give.

How it’s Made
I wash, dry and iron the 100% white cotton fabric before I hand draw the image onto the fabric with a heat erasable pen. This way, you won't have to transfer the design yourself.
For the floss cards I cut, punch out the hole, write each DMC color of floss on the card and cut and tie each color so you won't have to figure out which color is which. I include twice as much floss as I used to make the original piece so that you will have more than enough. If I used 4 or more yards of one color, I will supply the whole skein of 8 yards.
For the instructions, I write out each step including photos. Include a description and drawing of how to do the stitches used in each piece.
I put a lot of love and care into each and every kit. Each kit usually takes me about an hour to create.
