About this Product
Our third sewing box is here! This newest creation is filled with all the supplies you need to complete the XL Tote Bag displayed above. This bag is XL and can carry all your needs for a day at the beach, shopping, groceries, work or a weekend away. On the exterior front there is a slip pocket large enough to hold a phone, notepad, Kindle or small tablet. The main fabric upper exterior is interfaced cotton, while the bottom and interior are waterproof canvas. Please read the full description and included notes before purchase.
As always, the instructions for this project are on our TikTok page posted as a tutorial. Also, we will have multiple TikTok Live events so we can sew together. The first live tutorial will be on Tuesday July 10. The tutorial will also be posted on our YouTube channel after the first live event happens. Those of you who have purchased before, you already know how everything works. But for those of you who are new, let's talk about what you can expect.
Ok, so what's included? You will receive all the pre-cut and interfaced cotton fabric, waterproof canvas, fabric label, and pre-made handles to complete the XL Tote. In addition you will receive some extra coordinating fabric to make matching accessories of your choosing! This box gives you a chance to work with pre-made straps, fabric labels, we are tackling a slip pocket and you will get the chance to work with waterproof canvas.
The purpose of our sewing boxes is to get beginners at their machine right away. Rather than written patterns, we provide video tutorials and live step by step instructions so we can sew together. This has been the most successful way we have found to assist beginners in completing projects and advancing skills. All of our projects are beginner friendly. The fabrics are pre-cut and interfaced, so you will have professional looking finished products. The difficulty of this project is confident beginner and it makes a great multi-purpose catch all bag, or fantastic gift!

Notes from Iris (our ultra-beginner domestic compact sewing machine: This project has seams that get thick when the waterproof canvas is doubled over. Especially be conscious of the seams attaching the straps and the accent bottom. Take your time and go slow as you sew through the thickness of those layers. Happy Sewing!

We are Brianna and Maliah, and we make stuff. Bass Creations is a two-woman show, powered by unwavering family support. We are a mother-daughter team that has been sewing as a hobby for years. But, we have finally decided to venture out and turn our passion into a creative small business.
Our obsession with finding and collecting the most interesting, colorful and dynamic fabrics we can find is what inspires us to keep coming up with creative designs and one of a kind pieces. Being from a more confined corporate background, we appreciate the creativity and freedom of working in our studio and letting the creative juices flow.
