About this Product
You Don't Own Me is dedicated to the Goddess Lilith but is appropriate for all deities who inspire independence from arbitrary authority, female independence, and connection to primal sexuality/sensuality. Use You Don't Own Me to inspire personal power, subvert the power structures, hex those who would tread on your personal sovereignty, and connect with one's shadow self.

All candles are made from USDA certified organic beeswax. All candles are scented with cinnamon, apple, and blueberry, and coated with blackberry dried blackberry leaves.

DESCRIPTION
The origins of Lilith is mired in heavy debate, but no matter the variant one thing remains the same, she would not submit to the role created for her without her wants considered. Whether that made her a demoness, a fallen woman, or a Goddess is dependent on what you need from her. It is undeniable that governmental bodies and societal expectations throughout the world still seek to deny women rights to their own bodies and free will. You Don't Own Me is infused with the intent to help an individual find the inner fury and power to combat these forces as the practitioner faces in their life. You Don't Own Me is not limited to use by people identifying as women, as men also gain much wisdom and aid from the Goddess Lilith and are hurt by forces applying strict binaries. Restricting the rights of one also limits the full expression of the other.
SAFETY:
Never leave a lit candle unattended, and place a flameproof object under candle for precaution and to collect wax. As an irregular shaped candle melting wax has a tendency to drip unpredictably.

How it’s Made
Please note as a handmade object made from pure, natural beeswax, it is natural for the wax to change color throughout the seasons with the pollen and nectar available to the bees. Therefore, there will often be slight variations in color. Yellow beeswax is pure and natural with no additions. White beeswax has been naturally bleached of the yellow hue. All other colors have the addition of a candle dye and nothing more.
Solis Iluminatum uses the best beeswax it can source. The largest bulk from Gardner Bees, a small family-owned farm in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, and others supplemented from wholesale suppliers from the United States committed to sustainability efforts under the certification of Oregon Tilth. We hope you will recognize the unique gentle scent and texture of 100% beeswax, uncut with any vegetable or petroleum based waxes.
