About this Product
I've created a group of new Miniature Book Ornaments with a suede tie in a Florentine paper collaged onto Gold covers. They have Navy ties and are made from a sheet of the classic Bird of Paradise and Moths Italian Florentine paper. I used the two poses of Birds on one and a variety of Moths on the others. The books which have two moths on a cover have been collaged together. The book measures 1 3/4" x 2". The inside concertina has 16 panels including the inside covers. The paper is a fine German Hannemuhle 90lb paper in an Ingres texture. The acid free drawing paper has panels which are 1 7/8" x 1 1/2". There are 14 available panels on the reverse. The edges of the long strip are knife cut. The full length of the accordion strip is 25".
There is so much handwork in this spectacular little book! You can fit many salutations within the spaces/panels. Write love sonnets or haiku! It's perfect to adorn a gift box, hang on a tree, or dress up a dinner place setting. Spread it out on the mantle as an evening's souvenir. Excepting the Florentine papers and glue, all parts of this carefully hand crafted book are fashioned recycled materials.The ties are a bit long and can be trimmed with scissors if desired. Now in Oregon I mostly delve into paper projects and blank books. Creativity is my approach and collaboration with others an expression of a vision, an end result of the creative process. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition. Orders can be cancelled if the items have not yet shipped.
I can generally ship within one business day on items in stock. I cannot take responsibility for postal delays. Custom orders will have their own time frame for production which will be agreed to prior to purchase as well as any deposits on the order. Custom orders cannot be cancelled.
