About this Product

Ever tried putting a piping hot casserole pan or cookie sheet on your kitchen counter, while laying out two or three regular pot holders to sit it on, and juggling the pot holders in your hand at the same time? It's kind of a pain, right? Well, these giant hot pads are made just for this purpose! They measure approximately 15" x 11" (give or take 1/2" or so), and are perfect for holding 9x13 casserole pans and cookie sheets.

The hot pad has TWO layers of Insulbright heat-resistant batting, and TWO layers of cotton fabric! It's quilted either with a meandering pattern or a straight-line pattern, as shown in the photo.

To make them even more fun, they're all reversible! Each photo shows the front side and the back side of each hot pad. Some are for every day use, but reverse to a Christmas theme for the holidays. Some are autumn-themed, but reverse to Christmas! How cool is that?! :-D These are one of my most popular items at my craft fairs.

These hot pads don't need any special care. Just throw it in the washer, then pop it in the dryer. Done! Before it's washed the first time, you'll hear a slight crinkly sound when you use it. This is the Insulbright. The "crinklies" will pretty much disappear after the first couple of washings, and it'll become much softer.

Because of the Insulbright's metallic layer, these hot pads are NOT MICROWAVE SAFE. Please do not put it inside a microwave while it's running.

Just to clarify: These are sold individually. Each picture shows the front and the back of the SAME hot pad, as indicated by the arrow. It's not two separate hot pads. Hope that makes sense. :-)

About Me: All of my handmade items are created by me in lovely and historic Chickamauga, Georgia, where I've been doing local craft fairs for over a decade. I'm super-picky about the quality of the materials I use, and my workmanship. If some aspect of an item doesn't suit me, I won't sell it. The vast majority of my items are my own design.

Allergens, Safety, and Other Notes: My home is non-smoking, and although I do have cats, they're not allowed near my fabric or my sewing room. All items are intended for ages 3 and up. Please remember that different monitors can show colors differently. I do check my photos on two separate monitors to make sure they're as accurate as possible.

Shipping: I ship within the U.S. only, and packages go out via USPS within one business day of your cleared payment (excludes weekends and holidays). All packages include a tracking number.

Returns: If you're not happy with your purchase, I do accept returns within 30 days of the purchase date. Please send me a message so that we can arrange the return. If the problem was caused by me (i.e. wrong item sent), I will pay the return shipping, otherwise, the buyer is responsible for return shipping. Returned items must be in the same condition as sent. Should your item become lost or arrived damaged, again, please send me a message and I'll get it taken care of right away. :-)

Custom Orders: Time and fabric permitting, I'm happy to make something special for you and list it for you. Generally speaking, the custom item must be identical in style and size to an item I already make. For example, time doesn't permit me to design a whole different style of change purse, but I'll be happy to make you a change purse like the ones I already make, but in another fabric that I already have on-hand. If fabric must be ordered, please note that the price of the item may vary, depending on the cost of the fabric. Fabric prices can be all over the place, unfortunately. Custom orders must be paid in advance.

As always, thanks so much for shopping with me!

Meet the Maker

Hi there! I'm Lisa, and I live in beautiful Chickamauga, Georgia, just across the state line from Chattanooga, TN. I've been sewing ever since I was old enough to pick up a needle and thread, taught by my beloved Granny (grandmother) and Mammaw (great-grandmother). I've been doing local craft fairs and farmer's markets for over a decade, and am thrilled to offer some of my items online. Hope you find something you love! :-)
