Another note from me Joe aka Senior Excelsior - This Quilt was a good one to make and it also prove to be one of the quilts took the longest to complete it. Being so big I had to have a friend with a long arm help me with putting it together. I finished it with the binding. This quilt is 100 percent Cotton and I will also provide sheets for the first wash as colors will bleed and the sheets will catch it. I want you to be happy with this quilts for years to come and pass it to the next family members.

Meet the Maker

Joseph Marchena (Me)

How do I describe myself.  I am a sixty-seven male who still wants to know how everything works. In my teens and without any money, made one Television from two broken TVs. Rebuilt my car motor. Able to have anything broken item on my lap able fix it within an hour. Quilting started about 30 years ago when friend Dee asked me to join her in a classroom to learn how to make a quilt. I bought a hundred dollar sewing machine and joined her in class. I admit I had struggled through that class and had made a few quilts after that after finding out not all sewing machines are alike. After that I bought a Bernina 170 and it was a great sewing machine. I made so many quilts, table covers, napkins, you name it, but quilts are puzzles and I had love puzzles. I unfortunately had a lot of four-letter words working on that sewing machine – I bought the 770QE+ and also bought a serger.  So, most of my family have at least five to ten quilts and friends as well. I am now selling them on here. I hope you will love the quilts as I have put a part of my life into each one. You might find a similarity in other quilts, but mine will always be special and different. I am sorry as I don’t usually put things on Facebook or X. I used to but someone cloned it and did some bad things.
