About this Product
These hoop earrings are made with pure, grade one titanium wire. Titanium is typically a gray color, similar to pewter. These hoops have been anodized to make beautiful colors. Anodizing is a process using electricity to change how our eyes perceive the color. Please note that the color is usually subtle (although some colors are brighter than others) and can vary slightly.
Titanium is a very strong wire and hypoallergenic. This is for a listing of one pair of hoops. You choose the size. I file the ends for comfort. These are so light you will forget you are wearing earrings!
I use 20g wire for these hoops. I have found that thicker wire is to hard on my hands and the 20g is perfect for the sizes I offer.

Meet the Maker
This is MY WHY
A light-bulb moment happened to me while I was listening to a business talk regarding the question, “Why are you doing what you are doing?” Such a simple question but for me, the answer is complex. I am, at heart, a craftswoman. I have a Master’s degree in art with an emphasis in ceramics. I am a maker, an artisan. I am happiest when I am making things, whether it is pottery or jewelry.
But my “why” has developed over the years to become something bigger than the art of design and making. My purpose is my family. I am a mom to four amazing young adults! When one of my daughters was just a baby (she’s in her 20s now!), I was a potter without a studio and needed to consider other ways to engage my artist energy. Around the same time, a new online market had started for handmade sellers. Jewelry became a way to fulfill this need to create while providing a stream of income for my family. The timing could not have been more perfect as we were going through a real rough patch and had four hungry mouths to feed. Three of those hungry mouths discovered a love for dance and my jewelry income began to pay for dance and sports.
As they have grown, our financial needs have shifted. As each of my kids hit the high school years, they were each diagnosed with a progressive and degenerative disease that affects their peripheral nerves. The disease atrophies the muscles in their feet & legs and hands & arms. As you can imagine, this has been a life-changer for them all. And this is how I gained my new motivation, my renewed energy, and strong sense of purpose. This is my why - THEY are my why. I am doing everything in my power to help them get their start in their adult lives on a solid foundation - without pulling college loans.
This shop (and my original one) represents the culmination of my motivation and my purpose. Thank you for supporting MY WHY!
A few years ago I was personally tasked with a mission to find a metal that wasn't as expensive as pure gold and silver, but that would be good for those with metal sensitivities. I found that pure titanium does not bother even the most sensitive ears. Every pair of earrings available in my shop can be made with titanium ear wire. I can also work with your ideas for bracelets and necklaces.

How it’s Made
The hoops are 100% pure, grade 1, titanium. I make all hoops with 20g pure titanium wire. These are the basic titanium in color. I could also make them with purple wire or blue wire. The colored titanium is a process of anodizing the wire and there are never any dyes used.
All of my titanium is pure, grade 1 (surgical or implant grade) titanium. Titanium is a pure metal and perfect for even the most sensitive ears. I use 21g on all French style ear wire and 20g on hoops, kidney shaped (closed), and modern ear wire. Titanium can be anodized to change the color. I have found that I can anodize the normally gray pewter color to match a red copper, antique brass, bronze or various purples, blues, and greens (some other options as well but there are limits). There are never any dyes used while anodizing.
