About this Product
This unique necklace features a hand fabricated butterfly pendant. I traced the outline of a butterfly and then cut the image from a sheet of copper. I used metalsmithing techniques of sawing, filing, and soldering, etc. The pendant hangs from a 16" waxed cotton three strand brown necklace cord. Necklace has a sterling lobster clasp and a 2” extender chain. The pendant has been work-hardened and polished in a tumbler.
The pendant is approx 1" tall by 1-1/4" wide. The copper will develop a brown patina over time, simply polish with a polishing cloth or copper cleaner if you want it to stay shiny.

Meet the Maker
I live in the Pacific Northwest and have a love of family & friends, coffee, and creativity. At a young age I was inspired to be creative by a very special Grandma. She taught me to knit, crochet, and sew. Eventually I gravitated toward other crafts. I remember the first day I walked into a bead store. I was in heaven looking at all the different shapes and colors. I started making jewelry as a hobby and was often giving it as gifts to family and friends. I also made a lot of my own jewelry since my nickel allergy makes it difficult for me to wear a lot of the jewelry found in the stores. Over the years I have built up a wide variety of skills designing jewelry with fused glass and raw metals. It amazes me how pieces of glass can go into the kiln looking rough and come out beautiful.
I take care to make sure each piece of jewelry is well-made and strive to exceed customer expectations. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have a love of family & friends, coffee, and creativity.
