About this Product
This is a hat that really lives up to its name: The Snazzy.
Fun to crochet, it provides many styling options. You can wear your Snazzy as a fedora, as shown in the first seven photos, or as a bowler, a sou'wester, or a cloche or bucket hat, as seen in the last three photos.
The digital download pattern provides easy-to-follow instructions for this unisex hat.
The pattern offers five adult sizes, from Extra Small to Extra Large (XS-XL), with finished circumferences of 20 to 24 in./51 to 61 cm, before the hat widens for the brim.
YARN:
The Snazzy uses chunky-weight (#5 Bulky) yarn. You can also use two strands of worsted-weight (#4 Medium) yarn held together to create this hat. Some of my favorite Snazzy hats are crocheted in two strands of acrylic yarn. For best results, use a yarn with body so that the brim will hold its shape.
WHAT YOU GET:
A 5-page PDF pattern with links to my website -- www.hatsbyelvee.com -- for technique tutorials and stitch definitions for new crocheters. The written instructions use American crochet terms.

OCTOBER SALE: Save 25 percent on stylish hat patterns through the end of October, and get a jump on your holiday gift making!
The Chunky Guy Beanie, pictured here, is my best-selling pattern, with hundreds sold to makers from around the world. The pattern exemplifies what I love most about crochet and knitting: An easy pattern can produce a classic look as well as an enjoyable crafting experience.
Almost all of my patterns use simple, basic stitches. I occasionally venture into intermediate territory -- but only if the end result is worth the extra effort.
One of my favorite activities is to round up a few balls of yarn and experiment with stitches and shapes and color combinations. It's an adventure to find out what kind of hat the yarn wants to be. A sassy, lacy Juliet cap for summer? A rugged, ribbed topper for frigid days? A snazzy fedora that evokes vintage glamour?
I really enjoy doing my small part in bringing warmth and beauty into the world, one hat at a time. My wish is that you enjoy making/wearing/gifting hats from my patterns as much as I enjoyed creating them!
Happy crocheting/knitting!
