Supplies Needed:
Size F Crochet Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn Size 3 medium, or you can use a size 4 medium yarn with an I Hook, it will make the blanket heavier and a few inches larger.
Color A: Background colors - White or Gray depending on which part of the blanket section you are working on. Or… your favorite color.
Color Bs: Design colors - Turquoise, White, depending on which part of the blanket section you are working on - 2 turquoise, 2 dark gray, and 3 white
Border Yarn: Any of the colors in the pattern.

A Design chart using X with simple use directions
Border Suggestions
Written instructions for the negative stitch if you should choose to use it.
Written Instructions for how to add a separate color in a row.
There is one design chart included in this pattern PDF with the grid squares marked with an X, it can be enlarged for easier viewing.
You can also download the Excel chart for use on your Excel program or Google Sheets. You can follow the grid chart and/or written instructions or use both

How it’s Made
I sketch my design idea, in this instance, a charming prayer accompanied by sheep for counting, intended for a toddler's nap blanket.
Next, I transfer my sketch onto an Excel grid chart, adhering to the overlay mosaic crochet guidelines.
I proceed to chart the grid design.
I then write out the pattern.
I crochet the pattern following the designed pattern.
Additionally, I create a digital PDF pattern, incorporating instructions, charts, border recommendations with straightforward diagrams, and guidance on blocking the finished product if necessary. I include a simple photo tutorial on executing the inverse stitch, enabling the crafter to replicate the design on both sides of the blanket if desired.
I explain how to introduce additional color sections if preferred.
Experts in the Overlay Mosaic Technique test my pattern to ensure its accuracy. Following their approval, I publish my pattern online and discuss it extensively in social media groups.
