About this Product

Handmade necklace created using genuine butterscotch egg yolk amber beads and pendant. The beads were authenticated and tested by the vendors from whom I purchased them. I am very selective as from whom I purchased amber. I have been creating with amber since the 1980's. I included photos of the beads taken in front of an LED light and under UV light. (See photos)

I built the necklace around the pendant, so as to match the color variations of the pendant. It is also very long as I did not want to make it the length of a choker, etc. I enjoyed creating it.Please see photos for sizes and dimensions.

How it’s Made

The process of creating this necklace included making sure that each amber bead matched the color variations, and that the sizes on each side matched as much as possible. Each piece of amber is one-of-a-kind, so the process was lengthy, and required several 'test' stringings so as to be sure of the match. I had to change the order on a couple of occasions. I also wanted to not only make it sturdy but also long. In the end, all of the extra work was worth it. And I made sure that even the small beads matched as to color and size on each side. I used sterling silver crimps and more that one so as to make it durable. I try to use only gold-filled, sterling silver, and vermeil when creating my jewelry. I must add that I had not made a single piece of jewelry since my mother passed away in 2016 until April, 2024. I wondered if I could still even do it. I am very pleased with the results.

Other items may be shipped using regular package mail, but there is the possibility that I may choose to include insurance for the item.

I package items securely so as to prevent any damage while the item is in transit.

Returns:

I do not accept returns. Jewelry is a contact item, and for hygienic reasons, I do not accept returns.I pride myself in making jewelry which is not only beautiful, but also durable. I do not want my creations to fall off of my customers. I have been making jewelry since the 1980's, and that is what is known about me. And, at one time, I was repairing jewelry for other vendors at outdoor antique shows. I do not do custom work anymore, so the size of the item, (such as bracelet size), will be included in the listing, and in that way you can determine in advance if it will fit you. Length of earrings and necklaces will also be included in the listing. I always take photographs of my items next to a tape measure so that, in that way, you need not worry about an item being an 'enhanced' photo.

Please ask any questions you may have prior to purchase. I will answer your questions honestly. I do not know everything about jewelry such as stones and gems, so if I use a stone or gem and do not know exactly what it is, I will tell you. I will not represent any of my jewelry to be something which it is not. Over the years, I have collected a lot of stones and gems, some purchased at gem shows. Others, I have taken to gemologist to ask what they are. And, there are those which I do not know, only that they are a stone, glass, or a gem of some sort. This will save you and myself a lot of time if you ask your questions prior to purchasing. No question is too small or unimportant to answer, so ask away!

I make the jewelry, but I do not make the stones or the findings, which is why I try to purchase the best findings available. The cost of those findings will be included in the cost of the item.
