How it’s Made
First, I sketched my design idea, which was an inspirational prayer shawl with long fringe and the words God is Love. Next, I transfer the sketch onto an Excel grid chart, adhering to filet crochet guidelines to create a design chart. I then develop a chart with crochet stitch symbols for each row and write out the pattern. Additionally, I compile a digital PDF pattern, incorporating instructions, charts, border suggestions with simple diagrams, and blocking methods for the final product. After crocheting the design with the chosen yarn, I have experts in Filet Crochet Technique test the pattern for accuracy. Once confirmed, I publish the pattern online and actively discuss it in social media groups.
