About this Product

The birds in your backyard will love you forever when you provide them with this beautiful wooden bird feeder. It has perches on both sides giving your feathered friends easy access. It can hold up to 2 lbs of seed so the birds will never go hungry.
These feeders are made from cedar, which is resistant to pests and they won't rot. It is best to leave the wood in it's natural state, rather than stain it or coat it with some sort of wood protector, so as to not be a danger to the birds. Cedar will grey over time but it is a durable wood so this feeder will last you a very long time.

The hanging wire is capable of holding up to 100 lbs so it will easily hold all the seed you can fit in it and as many birds as can sit on it.

The top lifts up and out of the way to give you easy access for refilling.

To give you an idea of the size of this feeder, the roof is 10" long. The peak is about 9-1/2" high. The base is about 9-1/2" long and 9-1/2" wide. The height and size of the base may vary by 1/8" to 1/4" due to the size of the wood, as it is not consistent from board to board.

There's nothing like sitting on your deck or patio and watching all the birds come and eat.

Meet the Maker

Greetings. Thanks for stopping by. My name is Rob and I am the proprietor of Awl That Wood Crafts.

I've been a tinkerer and maker for many years. I just never thought of it as something I could get in to as a hobby or side business. First, I made an enclosure for our oldest daughter's bearded dragon. That's when it hit me. Next, I built a coffin-shaped book case for our youngest daughter. Next was a farmhouse-style end table. I was hooked.

For Halloween one year, I made some wooden jack o' lanterns with the intention of trying to sell them. Once the word was out, I couldn't make them fast enough. With that success, I started making Christmas crafts. They didn't sell as well as the Jack o' lanterns but it was enough to convince me that I needed to expand on this idea. With that, Awl That Wood Crafts was born.

I started an Etsy shop back in April 2023. My initial list of products were simple items, e.g. bottle openers, candle holders, but then I added a couple of bird feeders and a squirrel feeder. That's what started the ball rolling.

My main focus is bird feeders and squirrel feeders. I am always working on new ideas to keep things fresh and give potential buyers more choices. Come back often to see what's new.

Thank you
