About this Product
Streamline your quilting process with this ready-to-quilt, hand-dyed coral red gradient. Seven thoughtfully blended shades, from sunset embers to sunrise peach, eliminate fabric blending hassles. This is highly textured hand-dyed cotton in a 7 step gradient.
Each step of the gradient has tonal variation similar to a batik. Dyed with my own mix of Procion MX dyes with multiple primaries to achieve a rich salmon red with depth of color. The base cloth is premium weight Robert Kaufman Kona cotton.

More info
This fabric is custom dyed in small batches. Each piece is slightly different and the pictures shown are examples. I measure and weigh carefully, but multiple factors influence hand-dying. If you expect to need larger amounts of fabric, please let me know and I will create more in one batch to maintain absolute consistency. I can also reduce the texture if you want a smoother texture fabric to correlate with this series.
Care instructions
This fabric has been washed multiple times, soaked in very hot water and then steam ironed against white cotton to ensure no bleeding occurs. The fabric can be machine washed in warm or cold water and the fabric will get softer the more it is washed. I like to dry it until there is just a hint of damp left and then hang dry.
Shipping and Processing
Items in stock ship within 1-2 business days, while made-to-order pieces will be shipped within 8 business days.

Meet the Maker
I believe that the work you perform every day in the home is important and typically drastically unappreciated when really it is fundamental. So I am adamant that quilts and place mats, table runners and dish towels.....they are art. Or you can make them so. For there is an art to living life.
I worked for years in a technical field but missed the fine arts. Color and fabric, animals and gardening and nature - these are what make life worth living for me. I live with my husband, four cats and a dog in a small town in Minnesota. We have multiple gardens which are never weed-free, but productive nonetheless.
