Hi! My name is Marilyn and I live in the High Deserts of Eastern Oregon, USA.
I have been creating for most of my life and since I will be 58 in 2024, that's a LONG time!
Here you will find original designs and creations by my using all kinds of mediums and skills.
Knitting, Crochet, Embroidery, Upcyling, Acrylic paintings, Beads, Leather, Wood and naturally sourced items from my local environment.

How it’s Made
I created the Ballcap Beanie for the specific purpose to cover my hat with a wool beanie so snow and rain wouldn't get into my eyes while doing chores outdoors.
The hat is bigger in size for a snug fit, will cover the ears to protect you from the wind, and is a beautiful historical pattern from the British Isles.
Fisherman and mariners wore handknit wool beanies to protect them from the harsh North Sea, and the patterns were invented by their wives. This particular pattern is from Filey, North Yorkshire, England and has several variations. I love to knit cable stitches, so you will be very please with your handmade beanie. I use top quality wool so your hat will last a lifetime with proper care.
