Snuggle up with this new handmade batik lap quilt (43" x 48"). This is a modern quilt made with quality batik fabrics in bright cheery colors. This handmade quilt is finished and ready to ship to you the next business day.
This would make a beautiful wall quilt, lap, or throw quilt for your home. A handmade quilt brings a sense of warmth and comfort to a room whether you use it to stay warm or to add a pop of color. It would make a fun toddler or baby quilt for either a boy or a girl. This could also be used as a wheelchair lap quilt.
Homemade quilts look great as a couch quilt, sofa throw, or laid at the foot of a bed.
Size: The finished quilt measures 43" x 48" as shown. It is machine stitched and machine quilted. The squares are 2-1/2" finished.
Fabric: This lap quilt is made of high quality Hoffman California Indah Gemstone batiks in rainbow shades of blue, yellow, red, green, pink, orange, and many more. The fabric has not been pre-washed.
Batting: Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Polyester
Border: The deep blue border is from Hoffman batiks.
Backing and Binding: The border and binding is a super fun black and white batik from Wilmington prints.
Quilting: This lap quilt is machine stitched and machine quilted in a criss-cross pattern.
Made in a smoke-free pet friendly home. All of my quilt are stored in sealed containers.
Colors: I have done my best to show the colors as accurately as possible, but due to different monitors the colors may appear slightly darker than they actually are. If you are in doubt, please read the written description for clarification. You can also contact me and ask a specific question.

There is no such thing as too much fabric!
I started sewing when I was about 7 or 8. With guidance from my mom I started with doll clothes, worked my way up to clothing for myself, and then on to quilts. My mom and I used to do craft shows in the 1980's and 90's.
One of my more notable and very cool accomplishments is having made wall quilts for Walt Disney World back in 2000 and 2001.
After my son was born I took about a 15 year hiatus from quilting but now am back in my sewing room and loving it!
These days I love working with bold batik fabrics. The bright fun colors make me happy and I hope they make you happy too!

Shipping Time
I usually ship orders out within one business day. I ship Monday -Saturday.
Lighter weight items are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage Mail. Heavier items are shipped USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail.

Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
Custom and personalized orders
Occasionally I do accept custom quilt orders. Terms are as follows: 50% deposit required prior to any work started.
Approximate completion times will be discussed via GoImagine messaging and vary per project. The remaining balance due will need to be paid prior to shipment.
There are no refunds or cancellations offered on any custom orders once work has started on the project. Progress updates will be sent as necessary.
