About this Product

A beautiful new handmade queen size patchwork unfinished quilt top made of premium quilt shop quality fabrics in rainbow batiks. This would make a beautiful quilt for your bedroom or a spare bedroom. It would look great in a log cabin, airbnb, or bed and breakfast.

I have sewn the blocks together and it is ready for you to quilt yourself or have a local long arm quilting service finish it for you. This listing is for the unfinished pieced quilt top only and does not include any borders. This gives you the opportunity to customize and personalize your quilt. You will need to provide any border fabric, backing, batting, quilting, and binding.

The queen quilt top measures 72" x 84". For reference in the above photos it is laid on top of a queen size bed with a fairly thick mattress. This quilt, when completed, is intended as a comforter for a queen size mattress (usually 60 x 80"). You could add additional borders for a bigger quilt although it would look great with just a small binding around the edge.

Fabric: This colorful quilt is machine pieced and made with at least 40 different prints and patterns with many batiks. The off-white fabric is Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton called "SNOW". This is a slightly off-white fabric, not bright white and not cream. It would coordinate with many home colors. The fabrics are high quality 100% cotton, new and unwashed. The seams have been nicely pressed and the edges have been trimmed.

Made in a smoke-free pet friendly home.

Colors: I have done my best to show the colors as accurately as possible, but due to different monitors the colors may appear slightly darker than they actually are. If you are in doubt, please read the written description for clarification. You can also contact me and ask a specific question.

Meet the Maker

There is no such thing as too much fabric!

I started sewing when I was about 7 or 8. With guidance from my mom I started with doll clothes, worked my way up to clothing for myself, and then on to quilts. My mom and I used to do craft shows in the 1980's and 90's.

One of my more notable and very cool accomplishments is having made wall quilts for Walt Disney World back in 2000 and 2001.

After my son was born I took about a 15 year hiatus from quilting but now am back in my sewing room and loving it!

These days I love working with bold batik fabrics. The bright fun colors make me happy and I hope they make you happy too!
