This handcrafted Sierra style pen features a simple, elegant design that lets the colors of the body speak for themselves. The colors were inspired by a fuchsia plant that my family had when I was a kid, and the purple, pink, and magenta of this pen body reflect the deep colors of that flower. The pen was finished with titanium gold and black plated parts to bring some subtle detail to finish off this beautiful pen.
This pen is turned with a slight curve to the body to match the other components. Once shaped, it is sanded and polished to a brilliant shine. Finally, a thin coat of renaissance wax is applied to help maintain the finish.
It is about 5 inches long, so it is small enough to be comfortable to small hands or giant bear paws like mine. Twisting the tip of the pen extends and retracts the point. The tip can also be unscrewed in order to replace the Parker style pen refill. Additional refills can be found online, or at any office supply store.
All of my pens come with a medium point Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 ink refill in your choice of blue or black.

Meet the Maker
Welcome to my little corner. I first picked up a lathe a little over a year ago, and fell in love from the first touch of chisel to wood. I started off with pens just because they are small and make great gifts. I'm also working on learning boxes and bowls, but I am not yet satisfied with my skills there to put anything online yet. Hopefully someday. I have recently expanded into casting blanks, and experimenting with colors outside of the normal for wood. I hope you enjoy the results there as much as I enjoy making them.
When I'm not creating piles of wood or resin shavings, and (I hope you agree) some rather nice looking pens, I am also a husband and father to two wonderful, if slightly autistic, kids. It runs in the family, I'm pretty sure I have a touch as well. We also have 2 cats, which love to get into everything. By day, I write financial software, so this also gives me a creative outlet and source of stress relief.
