This shadow box is made with one of my favorite images. It shows a vintage drawing of a little boy holding a basket. His dress is vintage.
This shadowbox measures 8.5" tall and 8.5" wide and the frame is 1.5" deep. It has a reprinted image of a little boy surrounded by lace, paper flowers, and a wooden butterfly. There is also a wooden butterfly on the outside corner of the frame. This is a reprint image. I have several varieties of art using this image available.

Meet the Maker
My name is Sarah Laster. I live in a very small town in Eastern Oklahoma just 9 miles west of Fort Smith, AR. I am pre-retired. That means I've retired from the corporate world but I don't have a retirement income. I live with my grandson, 3 dogs and 2 cats. All 6 of them are rather spoiled but well trained at the same time. I sell handmade, one of a kind art, upcycled clothing and accessories and theme based shadowboxes as well as custom shadowboxes. Most of my custom shadowboxes are Memorial Keepsakes of a loved one that has passed. Its an awesome way to see items on a daily basis that would normally be packed away in a box somewhere.
How it’s Made
I search Pinterest and other graphics websites for images that speak to me. I save them, print them on cardstock or other paper, and then turn them into tags, shadowbox backgrounds, pages for my books, etc. I then add all kinds of materials to decorate the image including antique and modern lace, antique trims, antique and modern buttons, ribbon, and one-of-a-kind objects. All of my items are one-of-a-kind. I do not mass produce anything nor even duplicate items. This takes more time but art is my therapy so I enjoy making things whether they sell or not. I need to sell them simply because I don't have the space to keep them all.
