How it’s Made
I begin by sketching my design idea, in this instance, an inspirational prayer shawl with a scripture passage.
Next, I transfer my sketch onto an Excel grid chart, adhering to filet crochet guidelines, to create a design chart.
I then construct a chart using crochet stitch symbols for each row.
Following this, I write out the crochet pattern.
Additionally, I compile a digital PDF pattern, incorporating instructions, charts, border recommendations with simple diagrams, and blocking instructions for the final product if necessary.
After selecting the appropriate yarn, I crochet the design.
To ensure accuracy, I have individuals proficient in the Filet Crochet Technique test my pattern. Once confirmed, I publish my pattern here and elsewhere, and actively discuss it in social media groups.
