I sat to rest on a hike in Millcreek Canyon near my home, and admired the rings on my perch, counting the years! I created this Earth prayer from the bits of nature surrounding this beautiful stump!

I'm Julie Vesely. My "Altar Ego" is the part of me that longs to connect ~ to my Inner Self, to Nature, and to Others. "Earth Prayers" reflect and hold the energy of my need to make order from disorder, my love of color and beauty, and my desire to share myself and what I see with others.
I create Earth Prayers from bits of nature that I collect on meditative walks in my city, on nearby mountain hikes, on vacation in the Pacific Northwest, and in the Southwest! It is a practice of attention, awe, and non-attachment.
