A deep glem that is overlooked by the passerby. But if you stop and inspect this piece you will notice a few unique things. First off, its asymmetrical style is catchy and modern. The accent in the center is thin but has a gentle wave that is patterned to catch and toss light about. That's the only way those that look close can capture this necklaces secret....that it is not a black necklace at all, rather a deep, deep green. Its called Tsavorite, and it's a green garnet. In this case it is given a ruff cut that has a ancient feel. That is only amplified by the complementing pieces. A thin Bali sterling silver bead with circles that are raised while below is antiqued. Sterling silver beads speckle the length of the necklace until near the clasp where an explosion of sterling beads cover the string 360. Speaking of string, this is strung on 40 Pound test Softflex. A beading sting made for the job. This is sweat and water proof while staying strong over long time use. Having the right string makes all the difference.
Even tho I have heard of new products over the years, I have been an avid Softflex user for well over 10 years. After spending 5-15 hours on some of my more complicated pieces, I can trust that they will have long lasting lives! The finishing touch is also a sterling beauty! This toggle clasp has antiquing that mirrors that that is found in the necklace. The piece its self is 20 inches long and does have some weight to it, but is not uncomfortable in my opinion.
