About this Product
Hello There, This contains both vintage and contemporary beads in glass and sterling silver. I have many pictures of this beauty being made, it was a multi step process! But starting with its most prominent feature, let me tell you all about it. This necklace features a handmade grouping of dangles that offer 13 vintage glass faceted jet black beads suspended by a Figaro cut sterling silver contemporary chain. The deep, deep purple accent is a vintage glass piece that looks like amethyst. I used a 22 gauge sterling silver wire as well as Bali sterling silver beads to pull together the focal point. The length of the necklace is once again a marriage of old and new. The Thicker jet black faceted glass are a vintage, likely from the 1940's, 1950's (Judging by where I pulled them out of storage) While the thinner beads are a brand new Czech. glass. The accents as well as all the hardware is a sterling silver including the vintage button, turned into a button clasp. This necklace measures 17 1/2 inches and is surprisingly light! Still it utilizes a dual clasp that distributed the strands evenly. This is a great way to have the look of 'big' without the feel! Picture 3 shows the matching earrings, these are sold separately. Pic 6 is me at my booth! Please check my listings for these and other beautiful pieces! Thanks for looking! |
