Meet the Maker
Hi and thank you for visiting my shop. I am Constance and I specialize in preserving your cherished moments with memory quilts and pillows that are stylish and complement your home decor. I started making photo memory quilts while caring for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Seeing the joy and comfort that a quilt brought to her inspired me to create these cherished treasures for others. My photo quilts and pillows are made with fade-resistant ink and quality materials. They are available in a variety of sizes. They make wonderful gifts for everyone.

How it’s Made
Once the t-shirts and the photos are received, the t-shirts are cut and interface is fused to the backside of the t-shirt to prevent the shirt from stretching and becoming distorted when laundered. After the interface is done, then the t-shirts are cut to size. The photos are printed onto photo fabric and then they are treated to prevent color bleeding and fading. The pictures are pressed and cut to size. Then the t-shirt squares and photos are laid out to determine the best positioning of the squares that are pleasing to the eye. Once the positions are determined and are marked to keep in order, they are sewn together to create the top layer of the quilt. All true quilts are made with 3 layers. The middle layer is a cotton batting and the bottom layer is made with cotton quilting fabric.
The 3 layers are then “sandwiched” together using basting spray or using safety pins to prevent shifting of any of the layers during the sewing/quilting process. After the basting is finished binding is sewn around the edges of the quilt to give it the finishing touch.
