This is a medium-large sized fountain pen that is made from a product known as TruStone. TruStone is a product made from crushed stone ore, that is dyed, and stabilized with acrylic resin. First, I select a beautiful piece of Pink Larimar TruStone and turn it down on a wood lathe to match the pen components. The result is a beautiful and truly one of a kind pen. This pen has a hard durable finish which was polished by hand to provide depth and a glass like finish. The components are plated in chrome and feature a knurled center band and domed cap. The closed pen measures 5 3/4 inches and has a postable cap. This pen comes with a universal standard cartridge converter (for bottled inks) and accepts universal cartridges as well. The nib is a German made iridium point Jowo nib that is gilded steel and medium-fine point. This writing instrument comes in a box ready for presentation. It will also have instructions on how to care for your new custom pen.
Please note that fountain pens have to be tuned in order for them to write correctly. Most pens have a sweet spot which consist of different variables such as ink type, wetness of ink, paper, and nib type. If you don’t know how to tune them there plenty of YouTube videos that show you how. I will do a standard tune but fine tuning will have to be made by the buyer

Meet the Maker
Hello, welcome to my shop. My name is Michael and I am from Lubbock, Texas. I am a father to 3 amazing boys and a husband to a beautiful wife. I am a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University and have deep roots in both Texas and New Mexico. There is no other place I would rather live than the Llano Estacado region of the United States.
In search of a hobby, I dabbled in woodworking in 2012 as an escape from my day to day full time job. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Now I just try and find time to do it between all the activities associated with family life. Woodworking gives me a creative outlet that allows me to focus on art and functional pieces.
I source materials from all over the world and use mediums such as wood, resins, and plastics. On occasion, I get to mix these mediums together in a piece.
I welcome special orders and I am always open to working with you in order to come up with that special "something."
