About this Product

When my school library transitioned to an electronic card catalog, there were leftover checkout cards from books, journals and files.

I’ve used leftover checkout cards to create **reproduction** circulation cards.

I used a 2010-2020 date stamp and  names / library card numbers from a random name / number generator website.  (The patron names are completely fictitious.)

I used pencil, ball point pen, fountain pen, and Sharpie for the names.  I added additional notations like “in bindery”.

What you see on the cards is my handwriting and a random date stamp.

The titles on the cards are a collection of theology, anthropology, linguistic, cultural studies and humanities.

Meet the Maker

I’ve been a Maker since I was a young child.  I remember rushing to finish my worksheets in 1st grade so I could draw and color.  My parents engaged my creativity with origami books, watercolor sets, sketch pads, beads and yarn.

I was, and am, surrounded by women who love fiber arts.  My Grandma gifted me a stamped cross-stitch square and embroidery floss.  My Granny crocheted dozens of Afghans of all sizes.  My Mom indulged my clumsy attempts at making my own clothing on a Singer Genie.   My best friend and I explored crochet and quilting.  My godmother showed me how to knit, but I could never get the hang of it!  During college I majored in Visual Art Education with a concentration in Fiber Arts.

I continue to explore different mediums - watercolor paint, embroidery, jewelry making and polymer clay.  I’ve created original  and published original crochet patterns (a collection of crochet plant patterns and holiday gnomes).

I sell my creations at Knick Knacks in Duncanville, TX and online through Abby Farmer Creations.

I live in Duncanville, Texas with my husband, Phil and our fur-babies, Duncan & Cassie.  I’ve been a member of Wycliffe since 2005.  I currently work as the Canvas administrator for Dallas Int’l University.
