Roman glass-making began about two millennia ago, reaching its peak in the 2nd century. Roman glassware was some of the finest made in antiquity, used for everyday dishware, decorative ornaments, vases, jewelry, mosaics, mirrors, windows, and many other things. A range of pale to vibrant colors exist, often enameled, engraved, and covered in gold leaf. The glass I have came from Pakistan, which was one of a few major centers of glass production. Centuries of being buried in mineral-rich soil has given the glass an iridescent patina, which is present on the pieces I have. To preserve this patina, don't let the glass come in contact with liquids, and keep in mind polishing will rub the patina off, so protect it from rubbing and abrasion.

I am the mother of three daughters. I also have four grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls. We all live here & see each other nearly everyday. I am very blessed.
I have been an artist all my life. I have painted in watercolor for over 40 yrs. I have been a paper maker for 16 yrs. Look in my shop sections for Fine Art and Handmade Paper. I have been a jewelry artist for 12 yrs.
I take my work seriously. I use the best materials and am proud of my creations. I’m in love with color change gemstones and feature them as often as I can. I also love American Gemstones and do some rock hounding myself.

How it’s Made
Roman glass is being excavated in many countries that were once part of the vast Roman Empire. The glass can be from broken dishes, containers even glass bracelets. The glass pieces often have a patina made up of mineral and silica deposited from the soil over thousands of years.
I buy this glass from Israel and Pakistan already cut into shapes. I make wire wrapped pendants, necklaces and earrings. Hope you like it.

- Request a cancellation: as soon as possible, before the order has shipped.
