About this Product
This small shadow box contains a pair of antique teddy bears with a background including an old red quilt, a doily that is 100% tatting, and antique red buttons. I love bears and these 2 little guys didn't show up in my big collection of bears so they now have their own spot on the wall inside this shadow box. The box measures 6.5" x 4.5" x 1.5". It is small enough to put anywhere or add to a bigger collection. The frame can be hung or stand on its own due to the 1.5" thickness of the frame. The price of this item reflects the value of the bears with each one having a retail value of $20 on their own. The little guy on the left is missing an arm and came that way to me.

Meet the Maker
My name is Sarah Laster. I live in a very small town in Eastern Oklahoma just 9 miles west of Fort Smith, AR. I am pre-retired. That means I've retired from the corporate world but I don't have a retirement income. I live with my grandson, 3 dogs and 2 cats. All 6 of them are rather spoiled but well trained at the same time. I sell handmade, one of a kind art, upcycled clothing and accessories and theme based shadowboxes as well as custom shadowboxes. Most of my custom shadowboxes are Memorial Keepsakes of a loved one that has passed. Its an awesome way to see items on a daily basis that would normally be packed away in a box somewhere.
How it’s Made
All of my shadow boxes begin with a grouping of items or a general theme. The background is an important part of the assemblage so that it enhances the main subjects without taking over. Everything is layered with the focal points being added last. Each part is secured so that it will withstand years of being hung on a wall although most of the shadow boxes will also stand on their own due to the thickness of the box.
