Sterling silver feather, argentium silver decorative balls, neon apatite gemstone cabochon and stainless steel jump rings and chain.
Around 1.5" tall
A tiny eagle/hawk in flight inside the right bail of this feather pendant and on the left is a 4mm Neon Apatite round cabochon with a lovely shade of blue. Next to the neon apatite is 3 little eggs.
Along the shaft of the feather are 3 argentium silver balls or "pebbles"
An eagle lives to be over 20-30 years old in the best of times and the feathers come and go. Watching eagles and hawks is a favorite pastime of mine. There's something magical about birds in flight and those majestic creatures are sublime to watch.
Their feathers tell a story - a bird strike, taking off a snagged branch and strong headwinds. It's poetry and a tiny universe. Each feather has it's own chapter in the birds life.
The neon apatite, mined from Madagascar - is a gorgeous icy blue sky color that is beyond description. Neon apatite has a hardness of 5 on the mohs' scale.
3 eggs and 3 pebbles - the number 3 is balanced. A beginning, middle and end. Just like life. I've been following the eagles up in Big bear CA - Jackie and Shadow - and watched as they sat on their eggs through snow and wind with my fingers crossed. I love eagles and hawks and felt the need to make something. So I threw on some music, made some coffee and started playing with my scrap pile, wondering what I was going to come up with. I haven't made feathers with this much composition before using my green lion jewelers saw, went to town sawing.
The music I was listening to was a little too fast, so I put on some flute music, which helped me get to the "zen" place that helped me focus, slow down and saw out what you see in the photos. What you don't see, the new pile of scrap - but that's another story!
2 super strong oval stainless steel jump rings along with a stainless steel 18" chain with lobster clasp.
Arrives securely packaged in a gift box, tied with a ribbon and a small sample of polishing cloth.

My name is Linda and I'm a lady metalsmith (Ladysmith!)
I specialize in custom, personalized hand stamped self esteem spinner rings but I also make many other things!
*All jewelry is infused with lots of music, fun energy and random hijinks ;)
How it’s Made
All from scrap sterling and argentium silver, traced an outline of a feather from some earrings. Used a border hammer and other tools to create the lines on each side of the shaft. Notched into the silver in various places with a jewelers saw to imitate a real feather.
Cut out a tiny hawk
Had some melted argentium pebbles from a pebble spinner ring project so those were soldered to the feather along the shaft and 3 tiny eggs were soldered onto the bail between the eagle and neon apatite.
Careful soldering of all the elements, with the bezel cup that holds the gemstone last.
Tumbled in mixed media for 2 days to smooth down all the edges after polishing by hand.

I am not responsible for packages that go missing or are damaged in transit. However, I will investigate missing packages and make every attempt to locate it. Please see my shipping policies. Please contact the post office with your tracking number and try to resolve it yourself before contacting me. They always ask me to make sure my customer contacted them first. If you contact me I'll be asking for the location of your local Post Office, the name of the person you spoke with and the phone number. This will ensure clear cut communication.
There are NO refunds for custom orders on spinner rings. Please please pretty please get sized professionally for wide band ring before you order. They fit much tighter than narrow bands. Again, please get fitted professionally! Please contact me before ordering if you have any questions.

I am pretty ocd about the details because I want to make a good, solid product and I love for my customers to be happy with what I make.
Reviews mean a lot to me but customer service and sleeping at night mean more!
I do not do refunds on any of my custom jewelry when I'm given the wrong size. I don't refund copper jewelry if it turns your fingers green. Copper turns skin green depending on body chemistry. Sealing the copper with a thin layer of clear fingernail polish carefully will delay the coloring. I can't control body chemistry.
I no longer repair spinner rings that have been damaged via extreme wear, or when it's been caught in car doors or when the owner tries to repair it themselves. I will gladly make you another one for the same cost.
I don't give refunds on rings or other jewelry because they tarnish. When an item is hand stamped, the recessed area is filled which will lighten up over time.
This is also true of jewelry that has been antiqued - just like color slowly coming out of hair, the high points in jewelry will possibly lose color over time. This is normal and to be expected.
No returns or exchanges on custom stamped items that don't look 100% like the original listing. Handmade & custom lends itself to imperfections but I do quality control on each item before shipping.
No earring refunds, exchanges or returns. All earrings are thoroughly inspected prior to shipping quality control.
